On February 14th, the Iceland Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Iceland Business Forum. This year, the title of the Forum is “Visibility Unclear: Leadership in a World of Uncertainty “. This year’s focus is on the obstacles leaders face in the vast digital-powered shift along with the ever growing emphasis on corporate social and environmental responsibility - and how leaders navigate through these challenges.
The keynote speakers are the renowned Paul Polman, former CEO of Unilever (2009-2018) and Valerie G. Keller, CEO of Beacon Institute at Ernst & Young. Together they will shed some light on their experiences and research on CSR, long-term strategies and purpose-driven leadership.
Iceland’s Prime Minister, Katrín Jakobsdóttir, will address the Forum followed by Katrín Olga Jóhannesdóttir, Chairman of the Iceland Chamber of Commerce. The Icelandic educational innovator, Margrét Pála Ólafsdóttir will share her insights on how we make leaders from a young age and her own personal story of building an educational pillar within a public-private partnership. Lastly, a panel discussion will take place, led by the Minister of Finance, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Innovation, Minister of Education and Culture and Minister of Environment. The Forum moderator is Védís Hervör Árnadóttir, Director of Communications and Media at the Iceland Chamber of Commerce.
