Iceland and the Canary Islands

The Spanish-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce hosted a delegation from the Canary Islands. The purpose of the visit was to learn about Iceland's path to ecological and digital transition.

The Spanish-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce hosted a delegation from the Canary Islands on the 3. - 6. of September. The emphasis of the visit was digital and ecological transition. The delegation visited both Icelandic firms and government officials to learn about Iceland's transition path. Furthermore, the purpose of the visit was to strengthen business relations between the Canaries and Iceland.

The Spanish-Icelandic Chamber hosted an event for the delegation in collaboration with The Iceland Chamber of Commerce, Business Iceland, The Federation of Icelandic Industries, Samorka and Green by Iceland. The presentations focused on the economic outlook, the growth of innovation export sectors and sustainable energy in Iceland.
